The Villagers Theater will host the premiere of Triple-Play, an original murder mystery/fantasy set at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.
Triple-Play tells the story of disgraced New York City Detective, Arthur Harris who makes the trip to Cooperstown in order to see his surrogate father’s induction ceremony. When inductee John Simpson is found dead the night before he is to be enshrined, Detective Harris begins the most bizarre investigation of his career. Arthur may be right to be suspicious, but he also may be crazy. Everything is in doubt when the lead detective is popping pills and seeing the ghosts of baseballs past.
Triple-Play is the latest stage play by local playwright and producer, Tom Baldinger. In 2012, Tom Baldinger’s production of Two Sides of Love was nominated for several NJACT Perry Awards, including Best Original Play.
